Cox Manufacturing has a reputation for machining quality parts from 11L41 Steel. We can machine intricate parts on our CNC Swiss machines and CNC turning centers.
Steel alloy 11L41 is a free-machining medium-carbon alloy, ideal for parts that require strength and hardness. It has a deeper and more uniform surface hardness than other carbon steels. 11L41 is considered leaded and resulphurized.
11L41 has a machining cost factor of 2.3 when compared to steel 12L14. Welding is not ideal due to its high lead and sulfur content. 11L41 can be heat treated and forged.
